Where did CrazyAlevyn come from?
Alevyn originally came from the year I was withdrawing from pain medication. I started to play the Sims and other MMO’s. That year I felt “Crazy” and always loved the word, number Eleven. I associate it with balance. So Alevyn was born when I was making a character on one of my games one day. I called the site CrazyAlevyn because that year is when things started to be different and I wanted another life but never to forget how I got here.
What is Scoliosis?
I was diagnosed with Scoliosis when I was 12 and had surgery at 17 for an 80-degree curvature. Scoliosis surgery is not a magic potion or cure-all after surgery and it is a lifelong unwanted commitment. It is genetic and inherited by the father. There is ongoing research. Things associated with Scoliosis: Depression, anxiety, pain, Sciatic nerve problems, collapsing of the lower lumbar discs…..to name a few.

Do you take pain medication?
I took pain medication for 10 years, due to my appendix bursting and subsequent reconstructive surgeries. I chose to walk away from pain meds. I have a love-hate relationship with them. They are fine for a while but then your body requests more and more. Not unlike various other addictions. I realized what was going on in 2010 decided no more. I went to my pain specialist and we weened me off for a year. I went through withdrawals every month for a year. They have not been in my life for 10 going on plus years and shrug….not interested frankly. But I do understand them, the feeling of no pain, the desire to not be in pain. I alternate between Tylenol, Aleve, and Ibuprofen. I came to terms with “I will always have pain.” and moved on.
What other games besides Sims 4 do you play?
I play Sims 4, Final Fantasy 14 (FFXIV,) Star Wars the Old Republic (SWTOR), Guild Wars 2, Diablo, and World of Warcraft (WOW).
